Free Professional Development Opportunity: TwiST: Teaching with Spatial Technology
TwiST is designed to provide grades 6-12 teachers with meaningful and challenging lesson plans about using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) in the classroom. TwiST us a week-long workshop held in Houghton, MI, intended to provide the participants with basic proficiencies about some of the many aspects of spatial technology which is growing in importance in this global environment.

For the 2016-2017 School Year DACTM has awarded $3500 in mini-grants to teachers and $2000 Scholarships to Pre-Service Teachers for their education. Since DACTM was established, the organization has awarded more than $50,000 in grants and scholarships to its members.
